"One of InnoTech's goals has always been and will always be the happiness of its employees since everything we do has the well-being of all those who work with us in mind" - José Padre Eterno, Founder and CEO of InnoTech.

After being considered one of the Top 10 Startups in Portugal in 2022 by LinkedIn and certified as a Great Place to Work by GPTW, InnoTech raises the bar and has just been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work by the same entity, being now among the best of the best. The Portuguese tech company wants to hire 70 new professionals by the end of 2023 and surpass the milestone of 200 employees in just 3 years of life.

Lisbon, March 30, 2023 – InnoTech, a Portuguese tech company made up of innovation enthusiasts, has just been considered for the first time as one of the Best Workplaces in Portugal according to the GPTW®. Last year, it had already achieved the Great Place to Work certification by the same entity and was recognized as one of the Top 10 Startups in Portugal by LinkedIn.

The Best Workplaces distinction is based on a global methodology, applied for more than 30 years, which mainly considers the perception of employees through their voluntary and anonymous response to a questionnaire (Trust Index©), as well as the policies and existing people management practices in the organization. The organizational climate spheres analyzed include credibility, respect, impartiality, pride and camaraderie. With around 140 employees currently, Innotech expects to hire more than 70 by the end of 2023 and surpass the milestone of 200 in just 3 years of life, in line with the growth of the business and the needs of customers – reference players in banking , insurance, retail, industry and technology.

Job opportunities are in the areas of Management & People and IT Consulting, namely Software Development, Quality Assurance and Project and Product Management, among others, and can be consulted at https://innotech.key.work/jobs/.

“As a start-up about to celebrate its third anniversary, it is very gratifying and a source of pride to be recognized as one of the Best Places to Work. Not only because we have always made efforts to care for and guarantee the daily well-being of our entire team, both at work and on a personal level, but also because this positive effect is validated by our employees. This award, ultimately, reveals that we are doing a good job, and the fact that these efforts are noticed only encourages us to do more and better”, highlights José Padre Eterno, Founder and CEO of the company.

For InnoTech, the best way to maintain high levels of satisfaction among employees is by listening to them. Understand what they want, how and when. It has been this way, listening to people, that it has been programming the next steps – new events, partnerships, benefits, as well as new human resources policies. In line with this reasoning, in 2023 InnoTech created the role of Employer Branding Manager to develop and reinforce its positioning as Best Workplace, with employees as a source of inspiration for an increasingly excellent work environment.

Regarding the strategy for attracting and retaining talent, José Padre Eterno says: “The creation of InnoTech took place at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, in the first half of 2020, so it brought us the added challenge of attracting talent at a time marked by insecurity and uncertainty. Maybe that’s why we adopted, from the beginning, a mindset that we consider disruptive, where the epicenter of our activity are the people with whom we interact daily. Taking good care of our employees and ensuring that everyone is close is a pillar, not only from a retention point of view but also from a recruitment point of view. Everything that is done internally is just as it appears to the outside world of InnoTech”.

According to the questionnaire carried out by GPTW®, and based on constant feedback, InnoTech employees strongly value the existing relationship between leadership and structure, as well as the fact that the company encourages fair treatment, autonomy and trust, seeing InnoTech as an ethical and honest company that provides a safe and welcoming environment.

InnoTech continuously promotes the balance between work and personal life through measures such as offering birthdays and other holidays, as well as flexible working hours and the possibility of working in a hybrid way. The company is also committed to the career development of its employees, either through training offers adapted to the needs of each one, or by allowing them to choose what is most important in terms of soft skills. Everyone has a license on Udemy Business, with access to more than 14,000 courses in the most diverse disciplines.

“The continuous training and evolution of talent is the master key to the doors of success in the coming years. Our customers and partners see the development of our people’s skills as a differentiating factor compared to the market”, points out José Padre Eterno.

In addition, the company encourages interaction between the entire team, whether outdoors, for example with team-building activities, various events and weekly football games, or indoors, with the enjoyment of recreational spaces in the office, such as table football, pinball, mini table tennis or punching bag.

“The purpose of these initiatives is to promote InnoTech’s culture but also to give employees the opportunity to improve their physical and mental health and get rid of the fatigue that can sometimes be associated with remote work and other stressors. One of InnoTech’s goals has always been and will always be the happiness of its employees since everything we do has the well-being of all those who work with us in mind. For example, something that characterizes InnoTech is its welcoming and close environment which is already something that is highly valued and captivating, especially for the new generations, so it is a principle by which we govern ourselves”, concludes José Padre Eterno.
