Workshop program covers topics such as income tax, savings, investments, mortgage credit and retirement planning, reinforcing the company’s commitment to employees’ financial wellbeing and a people-centric culture
Lisbon, May 12, 2026 — InnoTech, a Portuguese technology consulting company, has partnered with DECO – Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection to provide its employees with a financial literacy workshop program composed of several practical modules focused on personal financial management.
The initiative is part of the company’s wellbeing and human development strategy, through which InnoTech has been reinforcing measures focused on balance, quality of life and personal growth for its teams. Topics covered throughout the different sessions include personal finance, income tax, savings and investment, responsible credit, mortgage credit and retirement planning.
The program is open to all InnoTech employees and takes place online, ensuring greater flexibility and participation regardless of each team member’s location or working model.
“In recent years, companies have started paying much more attention to mental health and wellbeing, but there is still one dimension that is often overlooked: financial wellbeing. In other words, understanding the relationship between income, expenses, savings and investment. Today, we realize that talking about mental health without talking about money means leaving an important part of the equation out,” highlights Rodrigo Maia Prinzo, Head of People & Culture at InnoTech.
According to the executive, this was a proactive decision by the company, considering that financial literacy remains a topic that is still largely underexplored throughout many academic and professional journeys.
“Many people enter the job market without ever having learned how to build a budget, understand credit or plan savings. We believe companies can also play an important role in that preparation. Promoting financial literacy means helping people make more informed, safer and more sustainable decisions throughout their lives, while giving them the tools and knowledge to better manage their resources.”
To develop the program, InnoTech looked for an organization with strong public recognition, experience and independence in the areas of training and consumer protection.
“When dealing with such a sensitive topic as money, credibility and independence make all the difference. DECO was a natural partner to create a program built on rigor, practical value and trust for our employees,” adds Rodrigo Maia Prinzo.
The workshops were designed to run progressively throughout the year and include space for interaction, questions and adaptation to participants’ real needs.
Recently recognized once again as one of the Best Companies to Work for in Portugal, InnoTech continues to strengthen a people-centric organizational culture by investing in initiatives that go beyond the professional context and directly impact employees’ daily lives and their families. Examples include the company’s 25 vacation days, which can increase for employees with children up to 13 years old, the school allowance and pet bereavement leave, among other benefits.
